Simple no heat recipe, quick and healthy. Perfect dish to have as a side or perhaps on the nights you need a nibble but not a massive meal.
Ingredients:
- Tofu
- Ginger (grated)
- Katsuobushi (Bonito flakes)
- 1 tablespoon of shoyu (Japanese soy sauce)
- 1 tablespoon of ponzu sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- Negi (Spring onion/ scallions)
How to prepare Hiyayakko:

- Plate your soft tofu (straight from the fridge) on a plate and add your topping to the tofu (grated ginger, scallion or anything your heart desires)
- Mix ponzu sauce, shoyu and sesame oil in a small bowl before.
- Lightly drizzle the mixture of sauce you made to the tofu gentle.

Finish your dish by sprinkling some bonito flakes.
