Ema datshi is the national dish of Bhutan, it is chili cheese (literally). A good warm gravy-like texture, slightly salty and cheesy that fits very well when mixing it with rice or a good mash.
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 sliced green chilli
- 1/2 onion (can be red or brown)
- 3 cloves of minced garlic
- 6 to 8 slices of cheese of your choice
- 1 cup of water
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:

- Heat a pan and add normal cooking oil (vegetable cooking oil). Add the sliced onion, chillies, and chopped garlic. Give them a quick toss before adding 1 cup of water.
- Season them with salt before adding slices of cheese to the pan.
- Turn off the flame and stir the mixture. Let the cheese melt in the residual heat.

When done, serve it over a bed of rice or mash potato!
