Grilled Cabbage Recipe

Extract the sweetness of cabbage with this simple recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Kouki Shoko Weipa
  • 1/2 cabbage
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cooking sake
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp shoyu
  • 1 tsp salt

Steps to cook:

  • Cut 1/2 of the cabbage into 2 wedges (or 4). Leave the core intact so it’ll be easy to grill.
  • Pour olive oil in a frying pan and fry the cabbage on both sides until browned.
  • While the cabbage is cooking, make the soup gravy by adding kouki shoko weipa, sugar, sake, mirin, shouyu, and salt to a pot and bring to boil.
  • When the cabbage is browned, add the soup gravy to the pan and simmer over medium heat for 5-10 minutes.

You can have it by itself or have it with a bowl of warm white rice!
