Japanese Egg Drop Soup

Japanese Egg Drop Soup

Light and gorgeous healthy soup that is suitable for all seasons. You can serve it as a starter, but you can also have it as a main if you’re not too hungry.

Ingredients

  • Dashi
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon of cooking sake
  • 1 Teaspoon of Japanese Soy Sauce
  • 2 Crabstick
  • Parsley
  • In the pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat (To get instructions on how to make homemade chicken broth, click on the link)
  • Add some salt, some dashi, 1 tablespoon of cooking sake and 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Then slowly add 2 beaten eggs to your homemade chicken broth
  • Whisk the eggs until frothy and spoon gently
  • Add your chopped crab sticks into the soup
  • Cook it for 2 minutes

When you’re done, place the soup into your favourite soup bowl and garnished it with some parsley!
